Jacqueline Morrison. Founder, Director
Jacqueline is a Women in Innovation award winner, a BEIS Energy Entrepreneur and a TechX Pioneer. With a background in research and communication Jacqueline is responsible for business development, funding and building industry collaborations. Jacqueline is a mentor and volunteers with local schools by providing an insight into entrepreneurship and innovation. She is also a lay member of court (non-exec director) of the Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
Trevor Hodgson. Chief Technology Officer
Trevor is a structural engineer and a technical authority on offshore structures with 18 years of experience in offshore wind including the design of monopiles, jackets and floating foundations. He is an experienced expert witness in cases of offshore design and has previous experience of creating joint industry projects including the Safe-Flow project in the Netherlands and OCAS project in Belgium. Trevor is responsible for engineering and leads the team of collaborating engineers.
Rob Sheldon. Technical Advisor
Rob is an engineer and project manager with more than 20 years of experience, including over 10 years in offshore wind, having led the design teams that delivered the foundations for Dudgeon, Beatrice, St. Brieuc and Codling wind farms. In a career spanning various industries, Rob has been involved from the early development stages of projects through to the final stages of commissioning, as well as projects in their operational phase. Rob brings a combination of technical and commercial skills to the Napkin team.
Zoe Barnes. Mentor, Commercial
Zoe, partner at Everoze and strategy manager for wind developer Quaybridge, specialises in technology commercialisation with a focus on bringing new technologies to market through established supply chains. Zoe is board director, Offshore Wind Growth Partnership and has been mentor to Jacqueline since 2019.
Caroline Roberts. Mentor, Certification
Caroline is managing director at Astrimar, a leading consultancy in the field of reliability engineering and technology qualification best practice. Introduced to Jacqueline via the TechX accelerator, where Caroline won ‘Mentor of the Year’. Caroline is supporting Jacqueline and Napkin through the technology qualification process.
Napkin has been supported by Atkins, now Kent plc, since 2019 and by University of Strathclyde and Dr Fiona Sillars since 2021. Fiona leads Strathclyde’s’ Advanced Materials Reseach Laboratory (AMRL) and with her expertise in materials testing and failure investigation oversees testing design and implementation.
